Survivor day has rolled around once again and at TTHS we can’t wait for another slice of Ghost Island pie! Every Wednesday I’ll be updating the resumes of the remaining castaways, and ranking their chances of success from most likely to win, to most likely to get the next boot. As the season progresses we’ll be able to track the players who have been building a strong case to win from Day One, and sort them from those who have just been cruising along with a helping hand from the winds of chance. Last week, we witnessed the fall of Morgan to the season’s first blindside – a move that has drastically shaken up the composition of the weekly boot list! The race is still wide open, although a few of the characters who are continuing to channel their inner ghosts will need to get cracking soon if they’re to have any hope of building a resume strong enough to impress a jury. I hope you enjoy tonight’s episode! I’ll be back on Friday to present my detailed recap and analysis. Happy Survivoring until then!

The BOOT LIST: Week 3

Survivor Ghost Island Cast Preview   James            1

Last Week: 9th
Primary Allies: Libby, Laurel and Donathan +/- Chris and Angela.
Resume: Orchestrated the Morgan blindside, strategically gifted; kind, loyal, committed to the tribe.
Negatives: Struggling in challenges despite his athleticism.
Comment:
James was the mastermind behind the first #bigmove of the season, so he well and truly deserves his spot at the top this week. If he can keep the Malolo Four together, whilst navigating Ghost Island and Domenick, he’ll be well set up for a post merge tilt. Big chance.

Survivor Ghost Island Cast Preview   Michael          2

Last Week: 11th
Primary Allies: Brendan, Jenna & Stephanie.
Resume: Found James’ cursed idol; challenge strength, secretly being 18 years old.
Comment: Michael took advantage of the ex-Naviti arrogance to find himself a crucial idol last week – and he seems to have the smarts to be able to use it effectively. High hopes.

   Brendan        3

Last Week: 3rd
Primary Allies: Michael, Jenna and Stephanie.
Resume: In a power couple relationship with Michael, ability to listen to Naviti whinge without becoming visibly angry; original leader of Malolo, perceptive of the potential to be betrayed by Stephanie.
Comment: Brendan continues to be a class operator, and with the help of Michael’s idol, I’m confident he’ll be able to overcome the ex-Naviti majority.

Survivor Ghost Island Cast Preview   Libby            4

Last Week: 5th
Primary Allies: James, Laurel & Donathan +/- Chris & Angela or Domenick & Wendell; Michael and Brendan on Malolo.
Resume: Enacted the Morgan blindside as the swing vote; involved in almost every single conversation as an active listener, potential to work with anyone.
Negatives: May cop the heat for the Morgan move.
Comment: Libby’s move to stick with the Malolo Four and betray her new bestie, Morgan, should not be underestimated. She may now have closed off the opportunity to work with Wendell and Domenick, but she has enough allies everywhere else to make it through. One of the main dangers.

Survivor Ghost Island Cast Preview   Jenna            5

Last Week: 8th
Primary Allies: Steph, Brendan & Michael.
Resume: Nicely shielded behind two alpha males and the loud Stephanie.
Comment: Jenna appears to be the least threatening of the four remaining original Malolos, so unless she’s targeted as idol collateral, the merge should be a lock.

Last Week: 14th
Primary Allies: James, Libby and Laurel.
Resume: Compelling character, one of the main narrators, strategically underestimated, deflected the first vote onto Gonzalez.
Comment: We saw very little of Donathan last week despite his involvement in the blindside. He seems to be taking a backseat for now so should be able to hide behind the ongoing Domenick V Chris duel.

Survivor Ghost Island Cast Preview   Sebastian        7

Last Week: 10th
Primary Allies: Kellyn, Desiree, Bradley, Chelsea.
Resume: The provider and ultimate bro.
Comment: Unlike his Naviti friends, Sea Bass doesn’t appear to be letting the power of being in the majority go to his head. He will likely be the last person that the Malolos target, so he can basically book his ticket to the merge now.

Survivor Ghost Island Cast Preview   Wendell          8

Last Week: 1st
Primary Allies: Domenick.
Resume: Challenge strength, strong social game, great shelter building skills, strategically open, compelling secret ex-lawyer-turned-dreamchaser backstory.
Comment: Wendell’s position in the tribe is now highly precarious, but I have faith in his ability to deflect the target onto someone else like Angela.

Survivor Ghost Island Cast Preview   Kellyn           9

Last Week: 2nd
Primary Allies: Naviti strong.
Resume: Becoming a key narrator; scored the first confessional of the season.
Comment: I wasn’t particularly impressed by Kellyn’s refusal to chat strategy with her opponents last week… With a slender majority that can be quelled by Ghost Island, it surely pays to have some options on the other side. In saying that, she seems to be getting the edit of a key storyteller, so is bound to be around for a long time yet.

Survivor Ghost Island Cast Preview   Laurel            10

Last Week: 15th
Primary Allies: James, Donathan & Libby.
Resume: Challenge strength.
Comment: Unfortunately Laurel will receive little credit for her involvement in the Morgan blindside, so as the preview suggests, it may be time for her to start considering other options in order to make a few waves.

Survivor Ghost Island Cast Preview   Desiree          11

Last Week: 4th
Primary Allies: Naviti strong.
Resume: Homeless backstory.
Comment: Desiree continues to be ignored by the editors… Sure, she hasn’t been to tribal yet, but time is quickly running out to become a major player in this hotly contested season.

Survivor Ghost Island Cast Preview   Chelsea          12

Last Week: 7th
Primary Allies: Naviti strong.
Resume: A blank canvas.
Comment: Where are you Chelsea?

Survivor Ghost Island Cast Preview   Chris            13

Last Week: 17th
Primary Allies: Sebastian on the other tribe +/- ex-Malolos +/- Angela.
Resume: Planted the seed for Malolo to take a strike against Domenick, Mum’s MS backstory, ability to draw inner strength from adversity; made the captain’s call to forfeit the first challenge in order to save the fishing gear, is in a power bro couple with Sebastian, and is rightfully suspicious of Domenick’s (fake) idol.
Negatives: Will continue to be a target as long as Domenick remains in the game.
Comment: Chris is starting to put together an intriguing resume. However, a huge obstacle to his success remains in the form of Domenick (and his idol). Ghost Island will make it difficult to split the votes, but I have hope that he’ll find a way to survive.

Survivor Ghost Island Cast Preview   Domenick         14

Last Week: 13th
Primary Allies: Wendell.
Resume: Gifted Morgan’s cursed legacy advantage; found Andrea’s hidden immunity idol in the dark, revealed semi-fake one to Chris (and now almost everyone else).
Negatives: Terrible jump from the gates – set himself up to be an early target.
Comment: Outnumbered and now holding a cursed legacy, it seems that Domenick will have to perfectly leverage his idol in order to advance through to the next stage. Back with caution.

Survivor Ghost Island Cast Preview   Stephanie J   15

Last Week: 16th
Primary Allies: Jenna + Brendan and Michael.
Resume: Flirtatious manipulator, milked Jacob before voting him out, only person to know about the existence of a legacy advantage, key player in keeping Donathan around at the first vote.
Comment: Stephanie is playing with great tenacity, but I still see her as the first target for the ex-Naviti crew. She needs Ghost Island and Michael’s idol to work in her favour in order to survive.

Survivor Ghost Island Cast Preview   Angela           16

Last Week: 18th
Primary Allies: Free agent.
Resume: A blank canvas.
Negatives: Completely clueless to the last vote.
Comment: Angela was an unknown assister to the blindside last week and is fortunate to still be in the game. If she’s unable to adapt to the strategic progression of the game, she’ll likely be ousted as an unworkable ally.

Survivor Ghost Island Cast Preview   Bradley          17

Last Week: 12th
Primary Allies: Naviti strong.
Resume: Nothing to note.
Negatives: Annoying complainer. Arrogant.
Comment: Bradley’s brattish behaviour at his new camp places him in extreme danger of being knocked out by Michael’s idol. Consider others.
